I have been buying my games from Amazon.com and I decided to purchase Red Faction 2 and Metroid Prime. I had everything set and almost $20 bucks in tax and shipping. So I canceled the order and looked everywhere. I found Buy.com they had the two games I wanted and actually a little cheaper. I placed the order and $10 dollars cheaper in tax and shipping. So I placed the order and I got it 6 days sooner than I would have at Amazon.Com. When I got the box I thought how can two games be in there it is so small, but there was two games in there and they had just packaged it very nicely. The only thing I didn't like was the whole tracking your order bit under the account button it took forever. But besides that there ten times cheaper then Amazon.Com, im happy I made the switch.
I have been an online shopping craze but I am very picky about online stores. Buy.com has been so far the most reliable website for me: on-time delivery (perhaps because I live near its warehouse), good prices at most times, and good customer service. It is true that they seem to make it difficult to find ways to hide the ways to contact them, which really troubled me for a while. But once you know that you can email them, their customer service is the best I've ever seen. I ordered a Brother HL1435 about four weeks ago and it said "this product qualifies free shipping". I was however unable, like the other customer has said, to make the "standard" selection that makes shipping free. After contacting them, however, they corrected the website and promise to refund me--and they did! I think that they did make mistakes sometimes, but I also found them to be capable of acknowledging them and, most importantly, improving them. I would say it is the best online store I have so far been able to relied on. I am writing this because I think a good store like it should be encouraged.
This is one of the best online stores I've shopped from (and it's possibly better than Amazon.com). They have free shipping on almost every video game and book (although not hardcover, which is why I had to buy Da Vinci Code from Amazon). Their free shipping is supposed to be "6-10 days", but I received many items (including, oddly, a printer) 1-2 days after I ordered it (probably because the warehouse is only a few hours away). I have never needed to use their customer service, and their delivery and purchase have always been timely and efficient. Their prices are always low (almost always lower than Amazon), while most of their items are new. Unfortunately, they do not stock Apple notebooks, or I would buy one... :) I definitely recommended Buy.com.
